Our values flow out of this statement above:
1. In loving the Lord with our whole being: • We Value His Word We want to know Him and His will through learning His Word. We preach it, teach it and sing it – it is His Word to us. • We Value Worship We want to serve, obey and honour Him with our lives. (This is the true meaning of worship) • We Value Holiness God has called us to be His special people (in the world but not like the world) 2. In loving others as ourselves: • We Value Genuine Humility and Compassion In other words putting others first, starting in our homes and extending into our church and beyond. • We value spiritual growth and discipleship We what to help, encourage and admonish one another in our Christian walk with the Lord. • We value evangelism of the lost A desire to reach out to others with the good news of Jesus Christ which we ourselves have received. • We value fellowship Especially in the context of our local church. |
