I'm New To Agape

Visiting a new church can be uncomfortable. We want to ease that feeling as much as possible!
We are temporarily meeting at The Arts Theatre, 125 York St. George (Click here for directions). We will have a sign in the parking area directing you to the right location.
Sunday schedule: Our morning worship service begins at 9:00 a.m., with music and a message from the Bible. That’s followed by tea/coffee fellowship time. You are also invited to join us for informal follow-up Bible Study at 10:30 a.m. after the tea.
For your littlest ones: During the preaching time, we provide a crèche and a Bible class for the young children.
What to wear: Most people dress smart casual but please don’t agonize over this decision. You’re welcome as you are. We are more concerned about “heart” issues that the externals.
Our worship services: Music is a key element of worship at Agape. Our music is conservative and traditional. We use a combination of old hymns and new pieces. We strive for a song service that is approachable, excellent, and faithful to Scripture.
We take an offering at every service. Do not feel obligated to give! This is the way our church family demonstrates our love toward God, our great giver, and supports His work both in the church and worldwide.
Finally, and most importantly, you will hear a message from God’s word. Sometimes our pastor will speak on a specific topic but usually you’ll find us working our way through a book of the Bible, one passage at a time, uncovering the lessons God has for us.
Language: Our services are conducted in English and Afrikaans. We try to blend the two languages together in our songs and in the sermon. We usually have power point visuals to assists you.
